It's been a long road to find a drug to boost the sexual performance of a man whose sex life is so difficult to manage that his doctor can't prescribe it.
But the drug isn't the only option for men whose sex lives are so complex, and the NHS says the treatment will soon be available to anyone over the age of 65.
"Viagra, the most popular impotence drug, will soon be available without a prescription by the end of the NHS budget," said Professor David Phillips, chairman of Sexual Health at the University of Edinburgh.
"We're hopeful that the first prescription for Viagra will be available over the age of 65, but we're worried about the cost," he added.
The NHS says the prescription will be available for people over the age of 65, who can't afford to take it and can't get the drugs on prescription.

However, the drug does carry a warning on its label that it can cause priapism, a long-lasting erection that causes pain and discomfort, it added.
It is not known whether the drug causes priapism.
The NHS said it was working with the drug's manufacturer to develop a product that would be sold in pharmacies.
"We are confident that Viagra will be effective and safe for most men," said Professor Tugendran.
"It's about people with a lower risk of side effects and can be effective for many people."
The drug's maker has not responded to requests for comment.
